Lady in Red...& Leather & Denim

There is nothing I love more than having a staple in my wardrobe that goes with just about anything or pull any outfit together.  A leather jacket has always been my go to clothing item, and when I go out, I'm almost always wearing one.  I don't have a particular "style" of clothing.  I wear whatever makes me feel good.  This outfit in particular makes me not only feel good, but also like a badass!

This outfit is from Revv in Hillsboro Village.  Revv is a trendy boutique where women's grunge fashion and classic style collide.  Step inside or checkout their Instagram @shopRevv or website www.shoprevv.com and you will see what I mean!  I also posted some of my favorite items they have below!!

First thing's first, let's talk about this studded leather jacket, "The Rambler".  It's AMAZING!  It has become quite a hot commodity since country superstar, Kelsea Ballerini, has been pictured wearing it on more than one occasion.

This Rambler jacket is a rock-n-roll dream, if you ask me!  It's the perfect vegan leather motorcycle jacket which features zip closures at the front opening and pockets, with a belted waist. Did I mention, it's dripping in studs?  Checkout the detail on it.

I would rock just about anything with this jacket, but this time I went with a sleeveless shirt, the "Ellie Top", in the most vibrant and pretty shade of red.  It would be perfect to wear with a long necklace without the jacket as well.  It's flowy and the sides have slits that show just the right amount of skin.  The back of it has small section of it cut out with a gold zipper.  Love!!

The jeans Im wearing are the "Mya-Delray"  made by Articles of Society.  They are very comfortable and a jean you would get a lot of wear out of, not to mention very affordable-only $69! I love the wash of them too!  So cute!

I paired this outfit with one of my favorite pairs of black fringe booties & they have a great shoe collection at Revv!  I seriously hope fringe never goes out of style, I'll be in trouble.

Nashville Fashion Week: Nashville Designer Runway Showcase

Welcome back y'all!  I'm happy you are here.  So last week, I got to attend Nashville Fashion Week as an official Blogger+Influener.  Pretty cool, huh?

About Nashville Fashion Week

Nashville Fashion Week was conceived in 2010 to foster Nashville’s heralded community spirit and concentration of creative, fashion-forward and entrepreneurial talent, to create a one-of-a-kind five day event that is uniquely Nashville.

Nashville Fashion Week kicked off in April 2011 with a city-wide celebration of Nashville’s thriving fashion and retail community and its vast array of creative talent and continues to gain momentum year after year. Featuring local, regional and national designers and industry professionals in an array of creative events throughout the city encourages both Nashvillians and visitors to explore the city’s diverse fashion and retail spaces with promotions, partnerships and educational workshops.

Nashville Fashion Week is co-founded and directed by a collaboration of fashion, media and marketing professionals who have partnered to combine their passion and resources to create a completely volunteer-led and run event that spotlights Nashville’s growing fashion community with an ongoing, sustainable focus for philanthropic support of our creative community.

Ticket proceeds from Nashville Fashion Week benefit the Nashville Fashion Forward Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. The Nashville Fashion Forward Fund gives an annual award to advance the career of select local talent with demonstrated experience in a fashion-related field. The Nashville Fashion Forward Fund ensures that Nashville Fashion Week will impact the Nashville fashion community for many years to come. (Source: NFW)

My Experience at NFW

I definitely never realized how awesome our fashion scene was here in Nashville, until now.  I absolutely loved the runway shows, a whole lot more than I ever expected.  I also enjoyed meeting lots of people in the fashion industry and other creatives as well.  Other than the Southern Women's Show when I was a kid, I had never been to a fashion show before and THIS was the real deal.  I was unfortunately sick for night one, but was so happy I made it to the second night, the "Nashville Designer Runway Showcase".  I especially loved that show in particular, because I love supporting anything LOCAL! I also attended night four, which was the "City Lights" runway show.  It was such a nice and fun experience, I don't plan on ever missing it again.

Nashville Designer Runway Showcase

This event took place at Track One in Nashville, Tennessee and the setting was absolutely stunning.  They featured Nashville themed drinks, "The Music City Mule" and "The Fashionista", very clever, if you ask me.  You guys already know my favorite part was the food and it was catered by Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant, one of my favorite places to eat.  The models were with AMAX Talent Agency and can we say GORGEOUS!? Gosh I'm still trying to figure out how I can make myself about a foot taller as we speak.  I'm going to share some of my favorite looks from each of these talented designers of Nashville from the Nashville Designer showcase.
